Good evening one and all present here.

Hon’ble Chief Guest of the occasion Shri M.S. Prasad Ji and Respected Smt. Neeru Prasad Ji, Vice-president, YARA Fertilizers India Pvt. Ltd. And DAV Fertilizer Public School, Babrala and all the distinguished guests. My heart swells with pride and every nerve vibrates with joy to see this vast galaxy of radiant faces which have brought more brilliance to the occasion than these myriad artificial electric lights.

In your august presence, I feel privileged to present before you a brief progress report of the school for the session 2022-23. Once again, our school has kept up the same lofty standards of excellence in every field.

Academics

On the academic front, our students put on record outstanding results both in classes X and XII.

Class XII-

In the AISSCE-2022-23, that is, CBSE Board Examination of Class XII, 12 out of 67 students scored more than 90 % marks.

Bhavini Mittal topped the science stream with 95.2 % marks.
Atharva Agrawal secured second position with 94.6 % marks.
Aachman Dwivedi achieved third position with 94.4 % marks.

Devvrat Raj topped the Commerce Stream with 91.0 % marks.

Class X-

In the AISSE 2022-23, that is, Class X CBSE Board Examination, a record 24 out of 80 students secured more than 90 % marks in the aggregate.

Vaibhav Varshney topped the school with 97.2 % marks.
Lakshya Varshney secured second position with 96.6 % marks.
Sneha achieved third position with 96.4 % marks.

Other Shining Achievements

It’s a matter of pleasure that two of our alumnae Garima Varshney and Maanvi Agrawal, both class XII pass-out in 2017 have qualified Chartered Accountant Exam in 2022.
Kuldeep Singh class XII pass out in 2018 cleared UPSC Enforcement Officer Exam-2020 with an All India Ranking 203.
Anurag Agrawal and Vishal Singh both class XII pass-out in 2021 have qualified JEE Advanced recently in August 2022.
Kajal Varshney of the same batch class XII pass-out in 2021 has qualified NEET with an All India Ranking 6562.

International Dimension in Schools or IDS Award-

One of the most significant achievements is the achievement of IDS Award. I am proud to share that DAV Fertilizer Public School, Babrala has been recognized with the British Council’s prestigious International Dimension in Schools certification in appreciation of its work to bring the world into the classroom. This IDS Certification is conferred on very prestigious schools in India and abroad which display an international dimension in their educational system and match well-defined international standards of performance in different fields.

Talent Search Exams- Accomplish & Excellentia

In order to bring out the students’ latent talent and prepare them for various competitive exams, the school has started its own series of talent search exams- EXCELLENTIA for classes III – X and ACCOMPLISH for classes XI and XII. These exams will also help the students discover their interest and strength in specific areas.

Besides academics, our students made their presence felt in many prestigious competitions and talent search exams.

CBSE Science Exhibition-2022-

The School participated in the Regional level of CBSE Science Exhibition-2023. Mathematics Project from the School qualified for the National Level.

Aryabhatt Ganit Challenge-2022

Three students were selected among top-100 from Dehradun Zone.

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2022

In Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2022, Akshat Gupta bagged Rank 1 in District Sambhal third year in a row.

Science Olympiad

Mast. Abhyansh Mittal of class 3rd scored perfect 40 out of 40 marks and secured International Rank I.
Mast. Ishaan Mittal of Class 5th scored 58 out of 60 marks with International Rank 8.

Indian Navy Quiz

Master Himanshu Yaduvanshi (Class IX) and Mast. Dharmesh Yadav (Class X) qualified First Round of National Navy Quiz ‘ ThinQ- 2022’

Geetanusheelanam

 In order to raise awareness about Bhagwadgeeta, the CBSE and ISKON Dehradun organized an online competition GEETANUSHEELANAM for the teachers and students of CBSE Schools in India and abroad. It’s creditable that nine students of our school were selected among top 100 in their respective categories.

NCC-

Mast. Arpit Srivastava was selected as the Best NCC Cadet among the nine NCC Battalions in UP.
Miss Anshika Srivastava was selected for the second position in the Best NCC Cadet category.

Games and Sports

We have an equal focus on the development of games and sports in the school. In spite of a critical period of lockdowns due to Covid 19, we conducted several indoor games, health and fitness activities, Yoga programmes, etc. through online mode.

In the recent Zonal Sports Tournament of DAV National Sports- 22 held at GAIL DAV Public School, Dibiyapur on 11^th and 12^th October 22, our students bagged a total of 61 medals.
Our Boys Football Team lifted the Winner’s Trophy.
The Girls Badminton Team comprising Shambhavi Pandey, Mahi Singh Rajpoot, Ankita Banerjee and Angel Gupta, and the Boys Table Tennis Team comprising Nischay Agrawal, Kavyansh Srivastava and Ritwik Agrawal were Runners Up.
In Athletics, our students bagged 38 medals- 15 Gold, 10 Silver, and 13 Bronze Medals in different categories.

Major Events-

Session on Disaster Management- The school hosted a session for the students on Disaster Management conducted by NDRF.
Encomium – The School organized an Exclusive Prize Distribution Ceremony for the prize winners of Session 2018-19, 2019-2020, 2020-21 with a total number of 590 prize distribution.
Reverb- The School also organized its Annual Function ‘ Reverb’ after a gap of 2 years with a huge participation of 577 students and 106 prize distribution.
Digdarshan - Mr. Manish Bansal, District Magistrate, Sambhal interacted with the students . The interaction was organized as a part of Digdarshan- a motivational series for the students where illustrious alumni are invited to guide the students.
International Exchange Programme- The School participated in a Virtual International Exchange Programme with IES Torrente Ballester School Spain. Students from both the schools shared information about culture, tradition and festivals of their countries.
DAV National Sports (Zonal)- DAVFPS Babrala hosted Zonal level of DAV National Sports where 22 schools participated in various events. total 414 students participated in the event.
National Voters’ Day- The school celebrated National Voters’ Day on January 25,2023. The event was chaired by Hon’ble District Magistrate Sambhal Mr. Manish Bansal.

Staff Development-

It is said that the quality and perfection of an image depends on the expertise of the sculptor. TCDAV Babrala has always paid full attention to the training needs of these sculptors, the teachers of our school.

School Head Mr. Anand Swaroop Saraswat has been appointed President Sahodaya Schools, District Sambhal.
All the teachers of the school attended extensive online training programmes conducted by CBSE, DAVCMC, and the Master Trainers of their Zone.
It’s noteworthy that 09 teachers of our school have been trained as Master Trainers for different subjects in different categories by DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, the training wing of DAV College managing Committee, New Delhi.
These Master trainers conduct various training programmes and webinars for the teachers of the school and at zonal level.
Five teachers namely Mr. Prahalad Misra, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Misra, Mr. Hasan Kamal, Mr. Anil Dwivedi and Mr. Gurdayal successfully completed Innovation Ambassador Programme launched by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, and AICTE.
The school also conducted DAV as well as in-house workshops and Follow-up sessions for the teachers.
Two teachers Mrs. Ekta Dwivedi and Mrs. Gunjan Gaur are pursuing a one-year Flagship Programme on Career Counselling and College Guidance.
Mr. Shubham Agrahari completed Level 1 of Google Certified Educator Programme, and Microsoft Innovative Educator Programme in March 2022.

Innovation Council

As a part of the initiative of the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell for Schools, our School formed the SCHOOL INNOVATION COUNCIL (SIC).

Ladies and gentlemen, these are but some of the achievements which are worthy of mention. I very humbly and thankfully acknowledge the support, cooperation and guidance of the LMC and our Apex Body DAVCMC in all our programmes and activities. We are also thankful to all the parents and guardians for their support and faith in us.

Neeru Prasadji, who have always been a fountainhead of inspiration and support, dear parents and guardians whose trust in us has always been our real strength, members of the staff and dear students who are the life and soul of this institution,

I feel honoured to extend you a warm welcome to this prize distribution ceremony ‘THE ENCOMIUM’ today which is the celebration of our journey towards excellence. It also aims at inspiring, motivating and empowering our students to realise their full potential and perform to their utmost capability in their respective field.

Although the last two years were full of challenges due to Covid-19, yet we didn’t give up. We were the first to initiate a remote learning system with You Tube live classes on 21st March 2020. The journey that started with YouTube videos moved ahead trying multiple options like -Zoom, Google Meet, Edmodo and WhatsApp. We successfully developed a robust teaching- learning-assessment system on Microsoft Teams. Along with academics the school focused on student’s all round development by organising co-curricular activities through virtual mode. When most of the school staggered or struggled for survival, we successfully conducted our internal exams online and implemented CBSE’s evaluation policy for board exams. Even during those trying years, we produced outstanding results together with several other achievements.

I have immense pleasure to share some of the major achievements of the last three sessions.

In the AISSCE-2018-19, that is, CBSE Board Examination of Class XII, 9 out of 29 students scored more than 90 % marks in the Science stream.

Ayush Agrawal topped the science stream with 95.8 % marks.
Lakshya Gautam secured second position with 95.4 % marks.
Vaibhav Bansal and Ayush Upadhyay achieved third position with 94.2 % marks each.

In the Commerce Stream, 5 out of 27 students secured more than 90 % marks.

Srishti Gautam topped the Commerce Stream with 96.2 % marks.
Aashi Mahajan and Sneha Johari secured second position with 94.8 % marks each.
Akshaj Agrawal achieved third position with 94.6 % marks.

In the AISSE 2018-19, that is, Class X CBSE Board Examination, a record 22 out of 78 students secured more than 90 % marks in the aggregate.

Divyansh Sharma topped the school with 97.8 % marks.
Anurag Agrawal secured second position with 96.8 % marks.
Stuti Sharma achieved third position with 96.6 % marks.

I have a feeling of satisfying pride that the school was placed in the outstanding category of all DAV Public Schools in India for achieving QPIs of 82.66 and 82.28 in Classes XII and X respectively.

Similarly, the school got 1^st and 2^nd ranks in all DAV Schools of UP & UK zone for Classes XII and X exams.

It’s a rare achievement that, 09 students in class X and 8 students in class XII were awarded ‘Certificates of Merit’ by CBSE for their outstanding performance and for being among the top 0.1% of successful candidates.

Subject wise – in XII- 03 in Informatics Practices and 01 each Economics, Physical Education, Computer Sc. and Mathematics, while in class X, 04 each in Social Science and Mathematics, and 1 in Hindi got these ‘Certificates of Merit’.

In the AISSCE-2019-20, that is, CBSE Board Examination of Class XII, 16 out of 35 students scored more than 90 % marks in the Science stream.

Prakhar Gautam topped the science stream with 98 % marks.
Vidushi Yadav secured second position with 96.4 % marks.
Kavya Agrawal and Nistha Varshney achieved third position with 96.2 % marks each.

In the Commerce Stream, 5 out of 30 students secured more than 90 % marks.

Akshara Mittal topped the Commerce Stream with 95.8 % marks.
Biyom Rajouria secured second position with 95 % marks each.
Rajat Agrawal achieved third position with 94.6 % marks.

In the AISSE 2019-20, that is, Class X CBSE Board Examination, a record 22 out of 76 students secured more than 90 % marks in the aggregate.

Anurag Varshney topped the school with 95.8 % marks.
Kumodini secured second position with 95.4 % marks.
Daksh Goel and Deeya Verma achieved third position with 95 % marks each.

The school has been placed in the outstanding category of DAV Schools all over India for achieving 83.6 QPI in AISSCE 2020.

The other major achievements of the Session 2019-20 were-

Miss. Sania Khan secured III Position at National Level Arya Vidya Sabha (Sanskrit Competition) organised by Arya Vidya Sabha, New Delhi.

Mast. Akshat Gupta received Silicon Valley Code of Honour (Top-30) and Certified Whitehat Jr award.

Mast. Daksh Goel and Mast. Chirag Bharadwaj were selected among Top-100 in CBSE Dehradun Region in the Aryabhata Ganit Challenge-2019-2020 organised by CBSE.

Mast. Aviral Mittal Qualified Inter-School DAV Science Olympiad-2019 organised by DAVCMC, New Delhi.

Miss Akshara Mittal and Mast. Biyom Rajouria got Certificates of Achievement DAV Commerce Wizard-2019 organised by DAVCMC New Delhi.

Miss Nishtha Saxena, Divyanshi Yadav and Aashi Varshney bagged Silver Medals in (Girls Football) at National Level In DAV National Sports organised by DAVCMC, New Delhi.

Miss Anjali Yadav won a Silver Medal in Hight Jump and Football and Mast. Chirag Bharadwaj won Bronze Medal in Boxing at National Level in DAV National Sports organised by DAVCMC, New Delhi.

In CBSE Science Exhibition-2019, two projects were sent to represent the school. It’s creditable that both the projects qualified for National level.

In the AISSCE-2020-21, that is, CBSE Board Examination of Class XII, 22 out of 37 students scored more than 90 % marks in the Science stream.

Krishna Varshney secured second position with 97.2 % marks.
Vaibhav Bansal and Ayush Upadhyay achieved third position with 94.2 % marks each.

In the Commerce Stream, 5 out of 27 students secured more than 90 % marks.

Bhavini Mittal achieved third position with 96.6 % marks.

The school has been placed in the outstanding category of DAV Schools all over India for achieving 86.2 QPI in AISSCE 2021.

For these achievements I would like to extend my heartiest thanks to our apex body DAV College Managing Committee, Chitra Gupta Road, New Delhi and Local Managing Committee for their kind patronage and guidance and the parents and guardians for their unflinching faith and support. I would also like to thank and bless all the students of this school who have brought all these glorious achievements. Last but not the least, my sincere thanks are also due to all the teachers for their devotion, dedication and patient hard work all through this critical period.
